Biography on Dr. Paul Greenacre

Born and raised in Timminsarea from 1947 to 1964.Spent 6 years at McGillUniversityin Montreal. Paul graduated in 1970 from McGill’s dental school at 23 years of age. While reading in the Sir William Osler library he became fascinated with Osler’s comment that “The Mouth is the Mirror of Disease”. He then spent 41 years investigating  how oral health relates to total health and published a website on his findings in 2011 called “medicaldentistry.ca” this relates over 60 diseases to the mouth which is indeed the mirror of disease within the body. Over these 40 plus years he’s studied human growth and development, orthodontics, endodontics, periodontics , crown and bridge and porcelain veneer therapy, implant therapy, advanced nutrition concepts, medical hypnosis, sedation dentistry, many different physical therapies in particular myofascial pain with Dr. Janet Travell, laser dentistry, sports dentistry, childbirth and breastfeeding practices, craniofacial pain, sleep dentistry, dental history and integrative medicine. He spent 7 years as a dental editor for the Canadian Dental Association and Medifacts and interviewed over 200 leading dental experts and created over 80 continuing education programs. He wrote a book on Personal Potential Planning and is publishing it as an e book. His next book will be called Smart Dentistry for Smart Families. He created a film on Preventive Dentistry for the Canadian Forces in conjunction with Crawley Films. He wrote on Sports Dentistry for the Canadian Coaching Association and is now creating a high performance protocol for athletes. In conjunction with his wife he also treats concussions. He still plays 3 games of old timer hockey every week. He also wrote articles for the McGill Dental Review and the Canadian Dental Association. He has written oversight critiques of the Test Crash Dummy program because the dummy has no jaw joints which are critical injury sites in accidents. He created with his creative colleagues several comic books about 2 cartoon characters  flossman and plakman and their  adventures with tooth bugs, gum bugs, sugar bugs and of course the tooth fairy. He built several dental practices from the ground up and made them flourishing successes. In the process he trained many dental assistants, dental hygienist and associate dentists in the concepts of decathlon dentistry and integrative medicine.
